Congrats! You just matched with someone on Tinder and now have to somehow plan a date that’ll most certainly lead to a second one. First step, you have to be looking your best, which is easy since you’ll roll up in your
2017 Hyundai Tucson. Step two is the hard part. You have to figure out a place to go where there is enough to do to make it memorable, but is also quiet enough that you can get to know each other. That’s what we’re her for! We’ve put together a list of the top three places to watch the sunset in Albuquerque:
1) The Elena Gallegos Open Space is a perfect place to watch the sunset and take a walk around the 640-acre park. Maybe you bond over getting chased by a coyote [CFS1] and then talk about your mutual addiction to Game of Thrones while watching the pink sunset. However, if your date is going downhill because you decided to share about your 12 cats, there are still enough hiking trails for the two of you to have your own space. But I digress. If your date goes well (which it will), Elena Gallegos provides a picturesque background for your first couples Instagram post: #views #couplegoals.
2) Maybe you decide that you want to be really adventurous in trying to find a good sunset view. In that case, go for a hot air balloon ride. With 61.9 cubic feet of space available in your Tucson, you may think that you can fit the balloon in your car and pilot it yourself. It’d probably be a stretch but there is a ton of space, so who knows. We recommend hiring a guide who knows what they’re doing so you can focus more on your date than avoiding other balloons. The view will be fantastic from thousands of feet in the air, plus your date will go back to their friends and won’t have to tell them how their date was once again dinner and a movie. [CFS2]
3) Sometimes the best dates are activities that you’ve always thought were reserved for tourists, but have never done yourself. The Sandia Peak Tramway takes you and your date up to the top of the 10,378-foot Sandia Peak for a 360° view. The 15-minute ride will give you plenty of time to watch your Tucson fade away in the background until you are totally immersed in nature. Bring a jacket, however, because it will be significantly colder at the top. Hopefully, you’ll get there deep in conversation.
We hope our suggestions help you plan the greatest Tinder date of all time! There are some great places around Albuquerque to watch the sunset, so let us know if we missed your favorite spot. If one of our suggestions leads to a wedding though, we definitely expect an invitation!
