Hyundai has just introduced the sixth generation of its Hyundai compact sedan. The 2017 Elantra offers a choice of two 4-cylinder engines, both new to the model. The standard powerplant is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that's slightly more powerful and efficient than the outgoing 1.8-liter engine. It is mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is available on the Elantra Eco trim.
